About Sahib al-Jawahir (Collection of Works by Sheikh Muhammad Hasan al-Najafi, may Allah have mercy on him)
Introduction:
Praise and thanks be to Allah the Exalted, who bestowed favor upon humanity by igniting the lamp of guidance before people through sending messengers of revelation. May endless peace and blessings be upon the Prophet of Islam and the Guide of mankind, Muhammad al-Mustafa (peace be upon him and his progeny), who, by establishing the luminous foundations of the Shariah for the heavenly school, opened the door to happiness and righteousness for people, showing them the path of salvation and truth. And the purest and most sincere greetings be upon his Household (peace be upon them), who are the Imams and leaders of the Shariah, and who, after the Prophet (peace be upon him), undertook the greatest and most evident role in protecting and preserving the luminous rulings of Islam.
These great figures, through explaining, clarifying, and interpreting the pure Prophetic Shariah, devoted themselves to nurturing ready and prepared souls, and prevented the decline and disappearance of the clear religion of Islam by spreading and expanding it.
True scholars have always been symbols of rationality, knowledge, piety, sincerity, enlightenment, guidance, admonition, dignity, effort, and self-sacrifice. A glimpse of their scientific endeavors is reflected in their books and works. The spread of new information dissemination methods in the present era has provided a suitable ground for transferring the knowledge of scholars to those thirsty for gnosis.
The Computer Research Center for Islamic Sciences has resolved, in appreciation of the valuable services of the great Shia scholars and to facilitate access to their opinions in various fields, to compile the works of each one of them into a separate software equipped with the features that will be mentioned.
The software you have before you is a comprehensive collection of the works of one of the pillars of jurisprudence and legal reasoning; namely, the distinguished jurist, Sahib al-Jawahir. By authoring the noble book "Jawahir al-Kalam," he enriched Shia jurisprudence immensely and made all subsequent jurists indebted to him.
Program Overview:
This software comprises sections for Display, Search, Related Books, and the Quran.
1. Display:
This section includes 9 book titles in 127 volumes. Among its features is the ability to select a scope for displaying chosen sources. Access to the tree-view and selective indices of the books is also counted among its capabilities. To facilitate research while studying sources, ten dictionary titles have been made available to researchers in this section, accessible via the "Dictionary" option.
Other features of this section include text tools (Research) such as coloring, marginalia, indexing, and highlighting, along with research capabilities like searching within book texts, dictionaries, and the Quran using the right-click menu.
2. Search:
A key feature of this section is viewing a list of non-repetitive words with very high precision, allowing for individual and combined searches within the dataset of this software. It also includes the use of various operators when searching in the text or source indices separately, and creating lists using general characters (* and ?) in different groups, as well as combining groups or their words using various operators.
3. Related Books:
Through efforts made in this section of the software, a connection has been established between the texts and commentary books.
4. Quran:
In the design of this software, alongside access to original texts, commentaries, and translations, users can refer to the Quran and conduct research and search within it if needed. Additionally, the ability to view the translation of the Quran is available to users in this section.
5. Tools:
Includes printing texts, transferring book indices and texts to notes, the dictionary, and the guide.
6. Features:
Includes seven types of keyboards, seven font groups, specifying a path for personal research (coloring, marginalia, indexing, and highlighting), and language selection (Persian, Arabic, or English). In the language section, only the user interface will change; in other words, the language of the book texts will not change.
The Computer Research Center for Islamic Sciences requests esteemed users to assist us in quantitatively and qualitatively improving this program through their constructive criticisms and worthy suggestions.
God willing, in the second version, the text or images of the new volumes of "Jawahir al-Kalam fi Thawbihi al-Jadid," as well as the "Jawahir al-Kalam" edition published by "Jame'at al-Mudarrisin," will be presented.
