B. Introduction to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC):

The IRGC is the manifestation of the spirit of an entire nation in the stature of the lofty and glorious Islamic Revolution, depicting the reality of faith on the battlefields of right versus wrong, and reviving the spirit of resistance among the oppressed and free people of the world.

The IRGC is a "birthplace and gathering place for faithful and sincere individuals" from the same stock as this people, who, driven by a "sense of duty," set aside their personal desires and inclinations. With love and self-sacrifice, they chose the path of selfless service to advance the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, thereby creating a new culture in today's world that has rightfully become an effective role model for all seekers of truth globally. The true embodiment of this can be observed in the performance of the "Axis of Resistance" in the Islamic world and the culture of oppressed and justice-seeking nations worldwide.

The name of the IRGC is intertwined with the lofty concept of epic heroism and is known to all for its heroic spirit; a spirit filled with bravery, courage, sacrifice, selflessness, and martyrdom, whose gushing springs lie in "religious beliefs," "revolutionary zeal," and "loyalty to the Supreme Leader (Wilayat al-Faqih)."

The heroic record of the IRGC is replete with monumental and destiny-shaping roles. Part of this is dedicated to the "Eight Years of Sacred Defense" and confronting "various crises and seditions before and after the imposed war," while another part is devoted to serving the deprived and cooperating with successive governments in every era to build the country, enabling Iran to be presented to the world as a model of Islamic progress.

Of course, the role of the IRGC is not limited to these matters; rather, this institution serves as a role model for the "Axis of Islamic Resistance" and in confronting the "conspiracies of the Arrogance and Zionism network." In this regard, praise be to Allah, it has succeeded in spreading the dynamic culture of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense across the arena of the Islamic world.

The performance and impact of the IRGC at various stages of the Revolution and the Islamic System are so prominent that the Great Architect of the Revolution, Imam Khomeini (may Allah have mercy on him), referred to the Guards as the "embodiment of the oppression and bravery of the great Iranian nation on the battlefield," the "illustrated history of the Revolution," the "standard-bearers of the Muslims' honor," and the "shield of the country against events." His historical and enduring statement:

"If there were no Revolutionary Guard, there would be no country."
