About Tahura
A. About the "Tahura" Software:
In the final years of the Middle Ages, based on humanist thought, new movements and campaigns were initiated by women in the Western world aimed at obtaining their social and political rights. This occurred while, during the final decades of the 20th century, the world witnessed the emergence of a new intellectual framework regarding Women and Family Studies, which differed significantly from previous prevailing intellectual systems. These movements, later known as "Feminism and related trends," brought a new intellectual system to women worldwide. Within this framework, new ideas were presented by thinkers that did not promise a bright future.
With the advent of feminism, Western societies entered a crisis and transformation. In this cycle of change, the institution that suffered most from an identity crisis was the "Family"; thus, the role of women in the family and their traditional movement were altered. Feminism attacked the traditional family by criticizing the nuclear family and patriarchal authority, changing women's family relations without offering a suitable alternative.
An examination of the "status of women and the family system" in today's world reveals the inability of the humanist system and feminist trends to meet the needs of the family and organize it. In contrast, the comprehensive and complete ability of the clear religion of Islam to identify and define the components related to establishing a complete and sublime system titled "Family" has been proven. Accordingly, religious researchers must play a significant role at national, regional, and international levels in creating an intellectual flow based on the cognitive foundations of Islam in the field of Women and Family Studies.
The specialized quarterly journal "Tahura," recognizing the necessity of addressing these matters, aims to examine and respond to needs, doubts, questions, and to propose new theories in this field. It is hoped that these scientific efforts will pave the way for the production of religious sciences in Women and Family Studies.
It is worth noting that the contributors to this quarterly journal decided, by utilizing modern information technologies to update communication methods with the audience and facilitate their access to the journal's articles, and in cooperation with the Computer Research Center for Islamic Sciences, to develop the software program "Tahura." Below, the "Content" and "Features" of this software are introduced.
